I would really like a green matt glaze that will work at cone 10 on brown clay.
I have tested with chrome oxide and do not get good results-too dark-my
next step will be to test some of the mason stains.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks Connie

and reduction:

"I of Toad"

Ingredient % by weight

Kona F-4 (soda) Feldspar 40
EPK (kaolin) 20
Talc 20
Dolomite 20
+ ---
Cobalt oxide 1
Chrome oxide 1
Granular rutile 20

This fires to a green matt (some say blue-green) with a lot of texture. It
benefits from slow cooling, combines well with other matt and glossy glazes,
and gets running if fired above cone 11.
