A friend is moving to Harrisburg and will be looking for possible places to
take pottery classes. Any suggestions out there?

You can e-mail me: Pammyam@aol.com.

Thanks in advance.

I am not from Harrisburg, but show there. She should get in touch with the
Greater Harrisburg Art Council. 717-238-5180 They can help her.

You might contact Penn-Mo Firebrick Company. They sell supplies and may even
have classes. They could tell you who in town gives classes. They are
located right in Harrisburg.

Good luck and happy throwing!

We'll be in Harrisburg the day after Christmas. Anything to see there?

If you lucky there will still be a bald eagle living on top of an office
building down town.

The birds nesting on top of one of the office buildings were falcons not
eagles.

Harrisburg is quite a growing town. It has a brand new Civil War Museum, as
well as the William Penn Museum and many very good restaurants such as
Passage to India if one likes Indian food.

Sorry to step on state/city pride,
I was just considering what points of interest that I happen to know of were
in Harrisburgh Pa and how they related to the state of historical and
contemporary fine craft in a global sense.
What Craft Gallery in town might be comparable to the Shigaraki Cultural
Park. Or the Smithsonian Institute.
That sort of thing.

Harisburgh is certainley growing, and has as rich a history if not richer
than many other twons of the 13 colonies.
