Is anyone familiar with "Heat Unity Coating".... I believe that is
the term... my memory for such things... like names.. unfortunately is very
poor. At any rate it is a substance used to coat the inside of the kiln
for heat absorption and re-radiation back to the interior of the kiln. The
purpose is obviously to save on fuel costs and firing times.... If you are
familiar with this material then please let me know... Marshall

I would look into the ITC products their phone is 904-285-0200 it is an
energy saving product. I have used the ITC 100 and 200 and it is better then
I expected.

I tried HUC on the inside of my Skutt but have not noticed the slightest
difference in my firings.Maybe it is intended only for gas kilns. It is a very
expensive stuff.

I don't know what HUC is but have used ITC products. Spraying ITC 100 on the
inside of an electric kiln will protect the elements, they will last longer,
the bricks will not crumble anymore and you should note more even firings.
There phone # is 904-285-0200.
