A friend of mine is currently in the U.K. at a workshop
for the next two weeks. He just sent me an e-mail message
regarding the lack of custer feldspar in the U.K. is there something
they can substitute or can anyone provide me with the chemical analysis.
(or even a source for custer feldspar in the U.K.)
He took over a number of glaze recipes that call for Custer Feldspar
and they are in limbo until I can get he an alternative.
Thanks much,
JB

Though it isn't the same as Custer Feldspar, while working in Northern
Ireland, we used FFF feldspar with good results.

The following is from Hamill & Gillespie. Not sure of the vintage of
this analysis.
Custer Feldspar:

17.0 Al2O3
0.12 Fe2O3
0.3 CaO
9.9 K2O
3.0 Na2O
