Hi all;

Need your help. Have been using an Olsen 24 cu. ft. kiln for the
last 18 years and need to buy a small, under 12 cu. ft. size to get me
through a two year transition.

Aside from Olsen's kiln kits, does anyone have a favorite propane
fired, reduction-able, gas manufacturer and/or model that they
recommend?

With great help from Axner, I've gotten some info on an Olympic
"Torch Bearer" model 2831G...does anyone have a happy experience using a
more portable, commercially available reduction-capable gas kiln?
Anyone using this model or company experience?

Eager to hear from you and thanks!

There was an issue of Clay Times that included an article on a new kiln by
Olympic. It was portable like an electric but was gas! It was really
neat because you could move this one around even though it was a gas
kiln...the size was large enough for a community of artists...you may want
to get an issue and see if it what you are looking for...

I am still looking for the issue that contained the article on the
pottters from an Atlanta studio! When I find it I will let you know!

I used an updraft gas kiln (12 cubic feet stacking space) from
Contemporary Kiln Company out of Navato Ca for about 4 years. I fired to
^10 reduction in about 8 hours. I had no problems with it. You can find
their ad in any Ceramics Monthly towards the back.
