I have looked and looked for a supplier for the 80 mesh screening but
I havn't been able to find one. Obviously I've been looking in the
wrong direction. Where can I buy sheets of this stuff?

The number is (503)-238-7171, when I called, they said that they had it, but
that I should try a company closer to me. They told me to try Central steel
in Chicago (773) - 471 - 3800 who isn't sure if they have any but are sending
me a stock list.

gotta go,

Maria;

I also looked all over for a good 80 mesh and finner screen. I finally ended
up at a Silk Screen Printing shop. They sometimes use Stainless Steel
Screen for large projects. I managed to by a running foot. for about
$20.00. I have used the screen for the last three years without any
difficulty.

I purchased wire cloth screening from F P. Smith Wire Cloth Co. in
Chicago, Il. 1-800-323-6842. We've been using the two sieves we
made for 1 1/2 years with no problems. Wire cloth is the same as
screening and you might want to check for it in your area, although
the F.P. Smith Co. shipped it to St. Louis for me. I think the cost
was about $25.00.

Good luck.

re.screen for sieves

I have purchased 80 mesh, 60 mesh, and 20 mesh bronze hardware cloth from
the little hardware store in my town, Lowell, Mi. This is not a high tec
place. It looks like the 1950's inside: only the owner knows where
everything is and you have to ask him.. Most of the time, he will just
give it to me for a dollar if it's just a small (12x12" piece) Nice guy.
Try your local hardware.
