I had a glaze recipie for a honey glaze, sorta' clear with a honey tone.
I've lost it without being able to even test it. If any of you have
such a recipie and are willing to share it, I would be most thankful.
With gratitude.

Joyce:

The following is a nice clear yellow gold:

Weiser's Honey Cone 9-11

Potash Feldspar 36.7
Flint 25.5
Whiting 18.9
Ball Clay 9.2
Soda Feldspar 5.1
Kaolin 2.6
Dolomite 2.0

Red Iron Oxide 8.0%

Very nice glaze. It's better on white stonewares. On dark stonewares
with naturally occurring iron or iron added to it the glaze looks like
temmoku thats applied too thin. No crazing on any of the clay bodies I've
used it on.

This glaze was in an article Rick Pope wrote for Studio Potter a few
years ago. I've never met Mr. Pope but my former professor, Elmer
Talyor, has a beautiful vessel of his. Very nice salt-fired piece.

This Honey Glaze looks good but I fire in the ^6 range. Can you adjust this
one for me to try at that cone? Thanks.
