Friends of mine (maybe friends of yours from various wholesale shows?) at
Mud Lust Pottery are selling their home with attached studio. Since the
house and studio was designed by and for potters (Mud Lust bought it from
the potter who designed it, and refined it further) it seems reasonable
that the people most likely to be interested in it would be other potters,
so I offered to post it to this list for them.
The house/studio is located on Grand Isle, VT, part of an absolutely
gorgeous string of islands in the middle of lake Champlain between upstate
NY and VT. There are causeways connecting the islands to VT (30 minute
drive from the house to Burlington), and to Rousse's point on the Canadian
border (75 min drive from the house to Montreal) and a 12 min ferry ride
every 20 min across the lake to Plattsburg, NY. Rural area with good
schools and roads, low population, lots of summer tourism.
Here is the description of the house:
3200 square ft. on 10 wooded acres. Very private. Studio is plumbed,
heated, ventilated, well-lit, has pineboard everywhere including the
cathedral ceiling, skylights, huge screened-in deck for working closer to
the trees, 220 volt wiring for kilns, soap stone woodstove on marble slab,
separate access from driveway through double doors. The rest of the house
is an open contemporary envelope design with lots of windows and high
ceilings, maple flooring downstairs and new berber carpeting upstairs,
master bedroom with private deck and bath. 3 bedrooms plus den, 2.75
bathrooms, partially finished full basement with lots of storage room.
Who says potters can't live the good life!!
They are asking $179,500 for it, and you can call Dan or Sandra at
1-802-372-8422, or e-mail me back for any additional information.
Jo (also living/potting in Grand Isle and loving it).

I listed this before but had some wierd idea that with my kids help I would be able to hang on to it. That was indeed a wierd idea. So here goes:
5 1/3 acres, 3-4 BR, 2B; living room/diningroom combination, sunken (it was made that way, not a sinkhole)sun room, walk in laundry room, formal parlor or family room, pool room, inground pool with diving board and slide, pole barn, separate 1BR, !BA cottage with attached oversized single garage/studio and kiln shed. It is zoned Agricultural/Residential. It is fully fenced with a large separate fenced pen around the cottage, stockade fencing around pool off of a paved road in Deland, Florida. DeLand is home to Stetson University, equidistant between Daytona Beach and Orlando off of I-4. The neighborhood is large estate type homes but not prissy. This property is set back off of the road behind another house with about 1-2acre open field the rest under the tall canopy oak trees which help keep it cool. Without a realtor I am asking $178,000. Realtor says more but I don't want to involve one if I don't have to. Email me off list at <

I would appreciate your answering some questions and sending a photo of =
the outside if possible. What is the square footage? When was it built? =
How long have you lived there? Central ac? How old is the roof and the =
pool? What are your yearly taxes? What does electricity run for you? It =
sounds interesting and my om is selling her place on the coast in NC, =
and we both would love to move further south. I lived in Florida some =
years ago. Thanks, Jayne Wuerffel =20
What is the deadline for you?
