What's the best way to get kaolin (china clay) to mix in glaze
recipes. I always get little white lumps in the finished glaze.
I have been trying to stir it into the dry batch.

Try screening the entire glaze batch. A 60 or 80 mesh screen would work.

screen the glaze after you have added water through a 60 mesh and i always
do it twice- and also if you let it sit overnite with the water added and
then sreen you will have let all the particles break down
