Howdy all...
OK OK so maybe I've bought in to all the current trends. But I've got
people asking for this colour. My slip is made of frit 3124 50% and epk 50%.
To that I add a mason stain in about 25% quantities. I've tried chrome # 6209
and Ivy #6223. Before, I tried Dark Teal # 6254, Peacock #6266 and Dk spruce #
6296 to no avail.
Does any one have a tried and true (of course I'll try it first for my
kiln and glazes) that renders true darkish green? I fire to ^9 reduction mostly
all once fire with no zinc to alter the colour. I'm not interested in sea foam
green, teal green, olive green, turquoise green or anything else. It's forest
green or hunter green. Thanks ... You may email me directly Tracy

gas reduction:

bentonite 2
In my kiln this is a glossy forest/hunter green in the ^9-11 range
