I am completing a program that analyzes glaze recipes and need information
on materials used by potters - or information about where I can get this
information. My program handles materials defined in terms of percentage
with the LOI included in the profile.
If you happen to know what the materials you use consist of - in the %
format with LOI included - please let me know. I will be posting my glaze
software as shareware within a month and would like as many materials
included as possible.
Thanks in Advance.

>hi fraser// our raw materials are constantly changing in compostion. there
are theoretical
compostions for say dolomite or whiting and the mineral co's will produce a
material that will match
a theoretical formul;ar as close as possible but is not often the same. so
we tend to work
pretty much from a theoretical standpoint when talking about the compostion
of glaze materials
what i did with mine was to check with my local supplier and got a snapshot
of the compostion of
the materials i currently use. you may email me direct if you want specific
info
i use insight but would be most interested to see your product
