Hello all,
I am sending this out to all interested in the Interlaken School of Art's
summer catalog. For those who have requested a catalog already, you
should have recieved it by now. If you haven't, E-mail me and I will get
one out to you.
For those who are interested in places to go this summer, we
are located in the Berkshires of western Massachusettes, a beautiful (and
cool) area with many activities. Our school offers courses in ceramics,
jewelry/metals, drawing/painting, and weaving. We are the first school in
the country to offer courses in Precious Metal Clay (PMC).
Our ceramics offerings this summer include a hand built pottery
class for ages 6-11, a throwing class for ages 11-15, adult/teen throwing
classes, and handbuilding with raku & paper kiln firing. Workshops
include pit firing with Judy Motzkin, African hand-building with Rodney
Jackson, Place settings with Kim Dickey, Wood, Fire and Salt with Mark
Shapiro, and Anita Griffith working with Terra Sigillata. We are also
open to course proposals with two semesters lead time, and we will custom
offer a course with enough interest.
