Was wondering if any of you US resident potters have had a show in
Canada and dealt with the GST issue.
So far our research shows that the 7% GST has to paid at customs on
entering Canada on the full retail value. There is apparently an exemption for
work that is for exhibition only and not for sale, but my work will be on
consignment at a public non-profit gallery and we hope there are sales.
I would be grateful for any information you can offer. This may add an
expense to my trip I had not anticipated.
