Hello all!
First a thank you to all the replies and wonderful tales about cats in
studios. We are still thinking it over and appreciate allthe help!
Next dilemna- We are looking for an electric kiln and are seriously
considering buying a skutt 1231pk - it's a new series from skutt - this
one in particular has an 11.5 cubic foot capacity, and is rated at cone
10. I've talked to many suppliers, and most gave skutt pretty good
comments. One, however, told me "You'll be sorry" and that some people
were having trouble getting this brand of kiln to temp. I generally fire
to cone7, but would like to have the option of working at a higher range.
Any comments? Anybody tried one of these out yet? Also, how is skutt for
dealing with problems? Are they pretty responsive, or am I 'on my own' as
my supplier implied? This is a major purchase for me, and though I'll have
my two small kilns for backup, I'll be counting on this kiln for the bulk
of my production. HELP!
Thanks again folks... Darlene Y. in Madison IN

Hey Darlene,

This is Robert Moore from Hanover IN.
Remember, the potter you met at the auction.

How was the open house at the new studio? SORRY I didn't make it, but
you know how the holidays are. I would love to check out the studio and see
some of your recent work. Maybe I could bring some of mine down & show some of
it.?
Let me know when a good day would be to drop by.

Drop me mail & let me know.

Happy Holidays, Robert M.
