jenkins kiln information

I have been presented an opportunity to purchase a Jenkins kiln
(electric). The lady says she thought it was a Jensen but I think she
meant Jenkins. Anyhow, I can't find any of them in any of the catalogs so
I have no idea of what they are like, where to get parts, etc.

I have not seen it yet, but was told it was small ("about this high and
that wide" exact words with visual cues).

Is Jenkins still in business? Are they crappy? Good? Etcetera.

Still cool here near Asheville but getting warmer each day again. Killer
frosts at night tho. Poor trees.

Hi, Actually is Jen-Ken Kilns. It used to be located in Sarasota. I think
it's in Lake Wales. I just saw the address recently. JenKens was what we were
buying for our school system. Mine at school is 12-15 years old. During
certain parts of the year it is fired every day. I just had it fixed - the
bottom dial blew and shot sparks out and blew the circuit breaker.

The only problem we had is the the school basically draws 208-209 on current
and it's wired 240 (220, whatever the other number is) so it has been slow.

This is only the second time I've had it fixed.

Their address is Jen-Ken Kilns, 3615 Ventura Drive W., Lakeland, FL (941)
648-0585.
