Santa Barbara City College. Instructor. Tenure Track. Salary
commensurate w/experience: $30,404-$59,711. Start Aug. 1997. Will
assume primary responsibility for Clay Arts program (beginning
through advanced ceramics/ ceramic sculpture), as well as teach
foundations of 3-D Design. Responsible for coordinating and
maintaining all elements of a comprehensive clay arts facility
including ordering supplies, firing kilns, overseeing work-study
students, tutors and lab technicians and some coordinating with
part-time instructors. Ability to contribute to developing program
in 3-D Computer Modeling and Computer Animation is desirable. A/D

energetic full-time manager for its non-profit visual arts program,
challenging development agenda and growing operations. MCA enrolls over
5,000 student artists per year and has an annual membership of 1,400

Experience in non-profit management, knowledge of the Minnesota arts

Ceramics Lab Technician
Kalamazoo Institute of Arts

Selected person should be capable of performing all duties required to
service a large, well equipped ceramic studio including clay preparation,
loading and firing gas kilns, glaze preparation, maintaining studio
supplies and inventory, and maintaining studio order and cleanliness. The
ceramics technician is also expected to assist during the annual Holiday
Sale, Spring School Party, KIA Art Fair School Booth and other school
functions. This position is for 20 hours per week and includes studio space
as well as materials. BFA or equivalent studio experience required.
Candidate may also be able to augment income with teaching opportunities.

Hello, Clayart,
My name is Jim Lawson, and I have been teaching Art for 26 years at =
Sheridan College in Sheridan Wyoming. Because of failing health =
(Muscular Dystrophy), I am retiring this spring. Typically, my teaching =
load is two sections of pottery, one section of sculpture, and one =
section of Design with occasionally a course in Printmaking or Computer =
Graphics or a summer workshop in Raku or Porcelain. This job listing has =
