Studio One Art Center in Oakland, Ca. has a few positions available.
Studio Assistant (needed immediately)
Duties: Recycle clay,inventory,organizing,general clean up
Will train to fire gas and electric kilns
Possible teaching opportunities.
Requirements: Must be an art student in good standing at a least sophmore
level. BFA perfered. Pay is $10.52
Number of hours per week: 10 hours max
There is also 2 teacher positions that will be opening up this fall which we
are currently interviewing for: Figure Sculpture (saturday)
, Stone sculpture (to be arranged)

Here is the info off of the web site for those interested. I work at the
UA (Law School) and have spent lots of time at the pottery studio and might
be able to answer some quick questions about the facility etc. Also, the
phone # for the Art department is (501) 575-5202. I'm so glad to see
them finally listing this position. Don Curtis retired over a year ago and
we have only had a grad student teaching the classes....

Teaching position @ The University of West Georgia, Carrollton, Ga.Located
one hour west of Atlanta, the Univ. has approx 10,000 students. The Dept. of
art seeks an individual to teach a 3-D composition course two days a week
for one semester. The person should have an M.A. or M.F.A. in art. currently
the course is taught in the ceramics studio and the person hired will have
access to all ceramics facilities. The course begins Jan. 2002.
