Looking for a Studio, Laboratory assistant.20 hours a week to start
eventually full time. I am
working on patented glass powder used in concrete. I am a professional
potter and glassblower for 28 years. Job would include helping formulate
glass and glaze formulas, recording data from experiments. Helping with
melting and grinding of glass and glazes. Setting up ceramic and glass
studio.General cleaning and help.Use of clay/glass studio included.
Acess to 60 cuft. downdraft kiln.
I was the studio manger of Urban Glass for three years and a partner in
Flickinger Glassworks, a glass bending company. I am familiar with glass
blowing, casting, fusing slumping, Metal casting, Ceramics, and glaze
chemistry.

Scripps is beginning a national search for an Assistant Professor of Art to teach ceramics and Art Fundamentals.
Scripps College invites applications for a tenure-track position in ceramics at the level of Assistant Professor to begin in the fall of 2009.
An M.F.A. demonstrated excellence in teaching at the university or college level, and an active exhibition record are required.
Salary and rank commensurate with experience and expertise. Five course teaching load
Participation in the Core curriculum is desirable..
Must be experience in electric and gas firing processes and be able to oversee ceramic facilities.
