A friend of mine purchased a home in Califon New Jersey, (Hunterdon
County) that just happened to have a pottery studio on the property
complete with a 40 cu. ft. downdraft propane kiln. She is a scientist and
not a potter, though she likes to "un-wind" at the potters wheel. She
does not have the time or experience to deal with this kiln. She has asked
me to help her find someone who might be interested in the kiln.
It will obviously need to be taken apart. As far as I can recall, the
interior is insulating brick and the extrerior, hard brick. The burners
are home made and look disastorous...no orfice, willy-wonka style
secondary air control....but perhaps there are parts and pieces
worthwhile to someone. Where there's a kiln, there are also kiln shelves.
If there is someone in the vacinity who is interested in making an offer
for the entire kiln, I'm sure they'd get more than they paid for. My main
concern for my friend is that she get enough cash to put towards an
electric kiln...which she could more readily learn to use on her own.
Please send all inquiries to:

Anna travels quite a lot, so if you don't hear back from her right away,
please be patient.
Thank you.
