Hello

Two things really. In yesterdays post bag there was a passing refference to
'kiln gods'. I first heared of these when I was studing for my masters (in
ceramics, as I originaly studied something else) One day I said to a fellow
student that I was a little worried about the contents of a kiln. Quick as a
flash she asked if I had put a kiln god in/on it. She explained that some
potters are a little supersticious... suddenly all the odd items that hung
out on top of the kilns made a little more sense (including fruit and small
clay figures). I suppose it is pretty personal but I would be intregued to
hear from any one out there _anything_ about 'kiln gods'.

The other thing is I would like to know how many 'wired' potters there are
in the UK at the moment, please drop me a line and tell me that I'm not the
only one.
