kiln repair with refractory cement/sairset

.....I have used fresh refractory cement in the past, but you still need to
dampen or wet area your applying to. Only problem is you have to buy it in
big buckets, you could share with any other potters though . We used it for
our gas kiln so it goes up to I think@ 2600. It last a very long time if
you keep the lid on and add water everytime after you use it. I used the
cement also in all our electric kilns and it works great. We had some big
pieces missing where the lid came down, with those I built up the cement
and made a new edge.
