Howdy Clayarters!
I'm looking for a reasonably priced source for the hollow externally
threaded rod used in lamps to hold the light socket (which screws into this
rod). It is 3/8" in diameter and 36" long. I'm looking to purchase about a
dozen of these rods (more or less), not a warehouse full.
Also, those of you who make and sell lamps, do you put lamp shades where
appropriate on the lamps or do you have a sample shade and sell the lamps
without shades? If you are buying shades, I'd appreciate the name of a good
source.
TIA for all responses.

There are many sources of lamp products. For incandescent stuff, and a
small amount of halogen stuff, the quintessential source is WN DeSherbinin,
Hawleyville, Ct.
The source for all your halogen needs, lots of imported cool high tech
European components is Glucksman Lighting Products, Garden City, NY.

Try Shades by Sheila in Kosciusko, MS, 800-634-8229. I just started selling
lamps and I display and sell the shade with the lamp. Good Luck :)
