Here is one of a number of textured glazes I think that is from Robert
Shay.
I have more if people are interested. All of textured glazes are
non-functional and should only be used on Sculptural pieces.

Lichen (cone 06)

50.Magnesium carbonate
10.Lithium carbonate
50. Borax
30. Gerstley Borate
4.0 Copper carbonate
0.4 Cobalt carbonate

Just a note:
Borax and Gerstley Borate are a real pain.....they like to spit, so make
sure your shelves are coated.

Try this Jim,

100parts of red earthernware(I use Tucker's Clay.I don't know you can get it.)
15-30parts (try every 5parts apart)Frit 3110

Mix them just like you mixed stain into clay.

fire to cone 06 with a plate underneath.

or for cone 6.mixed with20-30% of frit .you 'll find a sculpting glaze.
