I'll be visiting in Los Angeles and San Diego, and wonder if there are any
must see potters, or galleries, or museums? I prefer high-fire stoneware,
and am most interested in electric firing that can emulate gas. Will look
at anything though!

TIA

There is a small pottery shop tucked away in Old Town San Diego in the the
park itself. David Stwart who worked with Marguerite Wildenhain at Pond Farm
is the owner and use to demonstrate on weekends. He fires in an electric
kiln and it looks like gas firing. His pots are excellent.

Check out Otis Art Institute on Wilshire, Ralph Bacerra teaches there and
the schools' kilns are real "KILLERS".The Garth Clark Gallery is in the
directory, dependig when you go there out to be a great show.

Check out the Freehand in Los Angeles and Del Mano in Pasadena.. Both are
contemporary craft galleries. Clay, glass, wood, jewelry etc.
