We will be visiting Louisville during the coming week and wanted to know of
pottery places to visit. How about equipment and supplies in the area?

Thanks!

Arlene:

Lousville Stoneware; big operation, located in downtown area(Main St. I
think)

Clark's Ceramics; I hav'nt been there, heard that it is small but has a
bunch of stuff, located on Cane Run Road.

Ceramics Studio Supply; clay, glazes, molds, kilns, etc, located on
Middle town Industrial Blvd.

You are comming to Lousville at a bad time, a bunch of it is under
water. Have a good trip.

Check out Julius Feidman's Gallery, Images, on West Main St.
Also check out the KY Art and Craft Center just a few blocks east on
Main St.

Ginny Marsh and the University of Louisville Ceramics Department is
diffinitely worth a stop. Check out Fong Choo at Bellarmine College.

Hadley pottery, Louisville Stoneware (comercial co. offers interesting
tours) Sister Dragonfly Gallery ( on Frankfort Ave. - there's another
pottery across the street from Sister D. but I can't remember the name.)

Speed Museum has some pottery, but is closed now for renovations.

Water Tower (out River Road) has clay shows ocassionally - the
dinnerware exhibit is always worth a visit, but I think it has already
happened this year.

And if you get hungery, check out Lynn's Paradise cafe. Good food and
plenty of it.

Have fun.

-Rowe Pottery on Franfort Ave.
-There are a couple of galleries on Market St. that are displaying a
couple of potters works.
-Bank One downtown has a really nice show right now..
-In Middletown there is a potter's supply shop. (Ohio Ceramics Supply)

There are a few places, enjoy....
