There has to be information about where to buy blank decal sheets for laser
jet printers? Then I could make a color copy of any image and print it out on
a blank decal sheet and transfer the decal on my ceramics.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely

Check the latest Amaco catalog. There are blank sheets and other equipment
as well as a book on making your own decals.

Hi D,
Decal sheets are coated with a thin coating of gelatin. After an image
is printed on it (like silkscreened) then a coating of clear varnish
is applied over top. Without the clear varnish to hold the image
together everything just comes apart when dipped in water. I don't
think that the gelatin would be too good for your laser printer unless
you have an inkjet printer and then the inks would never hold up under
the temperatures of firing. But I could be wrong.

Cat, or D, whoever- please be advised that almost NONE of the regular color
printer inks are waterproof. We (Iris and I), have tested several. Try
your printed stuff on glossy paper in water before investing a lot of $$,
trouble, and hope in the process.

But---

Good luck- test-test-test.

Bill, who frequently tests (Iris' patience, that is)
