Hi: I would suggest that your student get in touch with and possibly join
The Oregon Potter's Assoc. 19855 NE Trunk Rd. Dundee, Or. 97115. The
membership chairman is Tamae Sawano @ (503)284-8730. OPA members can help
with studio space opportunities and give info on where to go to learn. I
would suggest Portland Community College-Rock Creek Campus, Mt. Hood
Community College, The Oregon School of Arts and Crafts, and The Multnomah
Art Center.
hope this is of help, Craig Martell-Oregon

Hi,
There are several possibilities for pottery work in Portland. The parks and
rec has a space at the Multnomah Art Center. They have open studio times and
classes with established potters from the area. There are other options as
well, such as the several community colleges in the area. Feel free to e-mail
me if you would like more information.
