Hi all -
Hilary Jones in Yellowknife sent me the following re the Manning Green glaze
I posted in response to the request for ^6 recipes. Glad to get the
accreditation right.

>>Veronica,
>>
>>The more than likely origin of the "Manning Green" is from Les Manning
>>(former director of the Banff School (potter).) Les has done a lot of
>>work with the Yellowknife Guild and he provided us with the recipe for
>>his green - identical to yours.
>>
>>The green takes on a new dimension if you sponge metallic black over
>>it...almost marble effect...
>>
>>After the Banff pottery studio had its fire, Les had lost the recipe --
>>he thought it was gone forever. However, during a workshop last summer
>>with our Guild, we were able to provide him with a copy of the recipe.
>>He was excited at recovering a piece of his past.
