Despite the primitive conditions caused by frozen pipes and the learning =
curve on my new (to me)woodburning fireplace, we had an excellent time =
this weekend at Living Tree Pottery. =20
Mark Peters of Pineroot Pottery near Asheville, NC came down and led a =
workshop that focused on functional ware designed to make the most of a =
wood firing kiln. His work MOVES, and he really enjoys what he's doing =
- he's got this wood firing thing down to a science. =20
If you ever have the opportunity to attend one of Mark's workshops, I =
highly recommend him as a presenter. If you're up for the opportunity =
to actually glaze and wood fire your OWN pots, check out Mark's website =
at http://www.pinerootpottery.com for information on his week-long =
woodfiring workshop this May.
