Masonite Bats:
I've been using them for 19 years - smooth on both sides - They are holding
up very well, but Southern Oregon Pottery Supply hasn't been able to get
any for years as the double finished masonite is no longer being made. I
love em.
It takes a carbarundum saw blade to cut them reasonably, so I didn't make
mine at home - took em to a shop with a big band saw, and a drill press.
