These workshops will consist of lectures, demonstration,
and hands-on experience. Topics covered will be throwing,
handbuilding, as well as glazing and decorating techniques.
Various types of firing will be discussed, and participants
will raku, electric, and pit fire their ware.
Feel free to bring in bisque and greenware to be fired.
Cost: $105.00 per workshop, including materials.
An optional box lunch is available at $5.00 per meal.
This should prove to be a series of fun and interesting
workshops. Brookgreen Gardens is located on the sites
of four former colonial rice plantations, between the
Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean.
With it's extensive collection of American sculpture,
as well as beautiful formal gardens, Brookgreen is a
real delight, especially during our South Carolina
springtime.
