Dan I found my pen, it's called a Pentel Paint Marker Super Silver Fine
point; Permanent. Oil Based Paint. Opaque.
However, after I sent my last post, I got to thinking about you being a
functional potter, and I haven't put this on functional yet, mainly Raku
which makes a neat signature on the black bottoms. Raku however, isn't in
the oven and dishwasher like functional, but I think it might be an
interesting test to see what happens writing on bisque with a thin layer of
clear over the signature and banged up to cone 10.
They come in gold and silver, and just may survive the firing, maybe the
experts out there will have some ideas.
I'd be interested hearing from anyone who has fired with gold or silver,
to know how high a temp it can be fired.

Sylvia,

Gold fires to ^018. Much hotter, I understand, and it burns out. Platinum
is similar--don't know about silver.
