Hi all in CLAYART space.
The mysterious characters some of you have been seeing whenever I (or ANY
Compuserve user) types in a quotation mark, a dollar sign, the greater or
less than signs, and so on have been tracked to their source.
Here are the codes some of you will see for comparison:
=24 ---dollar sign
=22 ---quotation mark
=3C ---less than
=3E --- greater than
It is Cpompuserve's gateway. They are aware of the problem, and are trying
to fix it. My appologies for the wierd messages.
The real mystery here is still why SOME of you see the stuff OK, and some
see codes instead of characters.
So............. hopefully it will be solved soon. Thanks to all who sent
me e-mail with copies of my posts, and with advice for fixing the =22bug=22.
