our university has recently switched to natural gas... which means we
converted our propane kilns (an alpine reduction and a raku kiln) to
natural gas... the alpine appears to be getting to a place where we can
use it... still were working out the bugs at the end of last
semester.... but the raku kiln still needs work.... taking a 'lot' of
time getting it up to melt... still have the original piping from the
propane system.... what might work better?
am about to enter my senior year as a bfa student and need to be able to
produce acceptable work... am a little worried about the experimental
part of the process as it stands.... thanks for any suggestions and
info....
