Hi all,

I have just moved from North Carolina to Columbia, South Carolina. I don't
have studio space as of yet so my wheel and kiln have to go sit in a dark
lonely storage shed. :( I would like to get involved in clay here but I'm
not sure if there is anyplace, even a rec. center or something that has
wheel and firing capabilities. I was just wondering if anyone on the list
is from around here and would like to give me a little insight on possible
connections?

I appreciate your attention, and thank all the powers that be for this
clayart list, I have learned so much. Thank you. :)

Sincerely,
Kristine Sherrow

I'd advise you to check with Virginia Scotchie at USC in Columbia. She's
very well networked into the scene and is bound to be of assistance.

Sorry to loose you from North Carolina.

There are classes offered at the Richland County Rec Department's art
center from Steve Hewitt. They have a fairly nice facility to work in.
Also the University of South Carolina has a large clay department with
some adult classes offered.
