Just came from the studio to drop this note to inquire on something that
has been in the back of my mind for a year or so.
I have just switched over to porcelain from stoneware for a week or so
and while working I remembered an article in maybe Ceramics Monthly, or
maybe it was Clay Times. An artist had a photo of a bowl on a shelf that
was chewed up by their shop rodent. He went on to note that the mouse, or
what ever, must have been attracted to it because of the oil that was
used for the rub-down on the pot.
Question: How was he using oil with porcelain? And for what? Nothing was
volunteered as to what the process was. Curious.
