Hi everyone: I am new to this list, and my husband thinks I have lost my
mind, but I couldn't help myself when I saw a used paragon electric kiln at
a salvage yard, which I got for a song, because the guy didn't know if it
worked. The coiled heating wires have come loose from the sides in a few
places - I'm not sure where to get the pegs to put them back in. It would
be really nice to have an instruction book to go with it. My husband says
it's a piece of junk because when it is moved brick dust and crumbs from
the apparently rusted bottom drop out. I think the former owner had it in
storage a long time. Can we get this up and running or is it just wishful
thinking? My husnand is an electronic wizard so I am not as concerned with
that part. The walls inside and out look sound except on the 1" shelf
holder protrusions are some chipped areas. I am dying to hear from somebody
on this.
I also have another question:
Has anyone on this list ever stumble on a kaolin clay deposit, big or
small, while digging for clay? What part of the country?

Pennsylvania has a little town named Kaolin, outside Kennett Square, about
30 miles west of Philadelphia. It got its name from - right! - kaolin
deposits that were mined extensively between 1938 and 1890.

industry as well.aiken is the home of STROM THERMOND and is an old
established mecca for the wealthy northerners to winter
