It sounds like a terrific show, given the people involved. Will there be
a catalog published? If so, please let us know how to order one.
Thanks

The list (below) of invitees is truly impressive. Are all these people
actually showing? If not, what's the final list of artists?

This is the list who have sent work. It is a mouth-watering show, indeed.
Voulkos, Autio, Soldner, and Weiser declined the invitation. Nils Lou

Nils Lou,

We plan to visit the Invitational after a workshop in Mendocino in April.
Is there any other information we might benefit from having before we leave
home? Information, that is, that you would be kind enough to share. Thanks .

Joyce
Cool, windy Mojave and I have over 100 test tiles to reduction fire. Since
I've only used my gas kiln once, I'm too nervous to try firing before all
conditions are as perfect as possible.

Joyce,

The Oregon Potters assn. is having their annual showcase in
Portland, not too far from McMinnville, where the Oregon invitational is.
Showcase is a big event, with well over 100 artists selling and displaying
their latest. April 26th thru 28th is the dates, and if you are going that
far, you might as well drive the little extra and see both.

Jack in Portland

Dear Jack:

Could you give the specifics for the Oregon Potters show and sale - dates,
time, address.

Thanks!

This is a thank you to the person who posted the Third Annual Oregon
Invitational at Linfield College. We just returned. It was pouring when we
visited which created a cozy setting in their inviting gallery. We were the
only visitors for that two- hour period so were privileged to examine and
photograph each piece as much as we liked. For the beginner that I am, this
was an impressive experience. Stopped on the way at Mendocino for a two-day
workshop with Mark Gordon at the Art Center. Informative and fun! Highly
recommend. Even the more-or-less pros seemed inspired by Mark's unorthodox
approach to clay. (Wanted to get to Portland, Jack, but couldn't take the
extra time. Will try next year.)

Joyce
Glad to let the sun dry out our leaky motorhome in the Mojave . (Didn't know
it leaked until we crossed the Oregon border. Loved the rain, though.)
