Actually a better subject heading would be "This is how it should be."

I have been wanting to tell everyone about this since the first firing but
controlled myself - until now. I have done 2 bisques and two cone 6 firings
to date and the results are nothing less than spectacular.

It's being used with a ConeArt kiln model 1822-1. Inside dimensions 17.5
wide by 22.5 deep. It has a floor element as standard and an extra 1 inch
of insulation.

The controller comes with two theremocouples (bottom and top.) If either
the top or bottom is running cooler more heat is directed there. There are
many features on the controller. I can watch the difference between the top
and bottom (never more than 1 degree on the way up) and I can also see the
actual temperatures at each theremocouple (never more them one degree on
the way up.) If the kiln is heated unevenly at startup (just unstacked)
then the cooler part is caught up and the firing proceeds evenly from then
on.

I am impressed.

If anyone needs more info just let me know.

The Canadian price is about $900 - take 25 percent off that for an
approximate US price.
