oxy probe repair

Well, the platinum wire on my oxy probe finally gave up the ghost.
Does any one know where to buy replacement wire? Is it necessary to
replace the entire wire or only the broken part? Do you just twist
the new wire onto the old? Any words of wisdom would be appreciated
as I would like to get it repaired asap, which most likely means
doing it myself. In the meantime, I'm firing my kiln today the old
fashioned way, by sight and by guess. It's been a long time, I hope
I remember how. Wish me luck.

Susan...
My best guess is that you could just splice in with a strand of
platinum wire and make sure you have a solid connection and you would be
all set to go.... Marshall
