Well, my Pacifica GT400 finally arrived on July 12 and I have put it out on
the patio with a large gas grill cover over it to keep out the rain. (Of
course it has rained almost every day since I got it. :( )
I did get to throw on Sunday and noticed a scraping noise on the right-hand
side underneath the wheel head (as you sit at the wheel). It does not
scrape constantly, just sounds like maybe one spot on the belts is rubbing
the cover or something.
Does anybody know what causes this and how to fix it? This makes an
otherwise quiet wheel extremely annoying. :(
Also, btw: I really love this wheel. I've only used Brent B, C, and CXC
before I got it, and I'm learning to adjust to the difference in power
between them. :)
I don't know if there's a big difference between a *NEW* Brent and a *NEW*
Pacifica, but there's a definite difference between a 10-year old Brent and
a Pacifica, and the splash pans are MUCH easier to get on and off.

Maybe the belts are crimped together. If they are, you need to take the
wheel head off, turn it upside down, unscrew the screws, pull off the
cover over the belts and uncrimp the
belts. Chances are, though, it is just a noisy belt that needs some
silicone. When I ordered my GT 800, a can of silocone lubricant was sent
with it so maybe you got one also. If so, just get underneath the wheel
and spray very SHORT bursts into the opening under the wheel head until it
quits making the noise. Don't spray too much (like I did) or your belt
will slip for a while.
Good luck;

I have had a GT800 for about 1 1/2 months now. After about 3 days I
started getting a squeak at low speeds. Mine shipped with some silcone
spray for the belts. I sprayed that on and let it spin for a few moments
and that has fixed the problem. I first sounded to me like the belts
were scraping on something also.
Hope this helps

My Pacifica came with a can of spray silicone lubricant, which I've used on
the belts when they get squeeky.
By the way, I finally got my Pacifica fixed. I had told the group that my
pedal had gotten erratic and finally quit working. I got in touch with Laguna
and sent them my control box. They replaced the control box under warranty. I
got my wheel in 1994.
Hope all is well with everyone.
