Hi,
A few people seem to be interested in half-tone reprodcution through decals.
When I visited my grandfather's graveyard in s. IL, I noted a number of
headstones from the turn of the century with black and white photographs on
shield-shaped ceramic insets. One of them was from a former world champion
wrestler, with a picture of him in his prime, with a mustache to die for.
And the pix looked better than the vast majority of my darkroom efforts.
Anyway, someone solved this problem back then. Perhaps retrospective might
be a useful direction of inquiry.
I grew whiskers for two months and then shaved them off. Bummer was, nobody
could quite tell what was different. And not much hirsutier in 1997 ...
