Karen,

Whew, what a relief to read your post on the problems you and others
have had with the plastic molds for plaster bats! I thought it was
just me, that I must be somehow lacking in intelligents or at the
least "technically challenged." The ad from which I made the
decision to order and the instructions included with the system
seemed so simple. HOWEVER, try as I might, I have not been able to
get a servicable bat from them myself. I carefully leveled the
table on which I was working thinking that might be the problem, and
reread and REREAD the instructions hoping to get them to fit on the
quick release center without all that digging out those little holes,
but to no avail. I must confess that I have not complained to the
"PURE & SIMPLE POTTERY PRODUCTS" people as I did not want to
disclose my ineptitude. But, since I hear that you and others have had
the same problems, I will assume that I am not a total moron.
Hopefully the makers of this product will assume the same, and try to
come up with some sollution that will enable all of us to use the
product as it was intended. I also bought the #3 - 13 inch
plate mold with which I have had the same unsatisfactory results.
This was all somewhere in the neighborhood of $100 dollars.
Maybe if we let them know of the problems, and that we really
like the idea and would love to use these bats, they can work
something out. There is nothing I would rather throw on than
plaster! Their 1-800 number is 1-800-363-3397.
