The ten gallon tub is a polypropylene tub and is slightly flexible and has
a fair amount of draft. Since PP is a material to which practically nothing
sticks (except those pesty labels) you don't need to oil it, even with a
high expansion plaster like Pottery #1. Ultracal 30 has a very low
expansion and would be the thing to use in a white 5 gallon bucket of the
paint type since they are rigid at the bottom. You ought to spray those
with a release agent. From a post on the CLAYART I heard about using Armor
All as a release and it words well. (For our out of the USA readers that is
a sort of water emulsion that probably has silicone oil in it. It is sold
as a protective spray for automotive uses.)
