You might visit Pigon Forge Potterey in Pigon Forge. Douglas Ferguson
is the owner. He started the pottery in the late 40's.

Have a great time climbing Mount LoConte (6000 foot climb).

David in Brown County Indiana.

Kathy,
In the Gatlinburg area go to Arrowmont School of Crafts for a tour.
Larry Spears is an excellent local potter and there is a craft community on
Buckhorn Rd with much to see. There are several galleries in both
Gatlinburg and Pidgeon Forge. Have a great time.

Larry Spears has left for Nashville, Indiana and is no longer around. The
crafts community is east of Gatlinburg off of 321. Look for Glades Rd. or
Buckhorn Rd.

Dillsboro is about a half hour drive from Smoky Mtn. Natl. park. Rick
Urban is a fine potter in the Leach/MacKenzie spirit who owns and operates
a pottery shop there. Definitely one of the area's best potters and nicer
shops.
