I'm planning a trip to NY in July and August and would like to visit some small-
to medium-sized production potteries in the tri-state area. Anyone know of
some places which would be open to visitors? Any suggestions would be very much
appreciated!

I'd encourage anyone to visit Curran=Pfeiff in Edison, NJ. They make
high (cone 13) electrical porcelain items. It's wholly Artesanal and one
of the brothers makes amazing glazes -- for come 13. Want to see what's
really possible at cone 13 -- go there.
