Hello!
I'm a beginner (very much so) potter who will be moving to Prince Edward
Island (just north of Summerside) for July to Dec/97 (while my husband
works on a televison series), and am looking for a place to
practice, practice, practice. I found out that the PEI potters guild in
Charlottetown offers summer members unlimited time in the studio
(excluding cost of clay) for $40 per month. This sounds pretty good ,
but I'm wondering if I could find somewhere closer. Perhaps someone
would be willing to share their studio for a reasonable fee or, perhaps
someone has an old wheel they would be willing to lend/rent? I am very
keen, and very easy to get along with.
Hope to hear from other potters soon.

I can't help you with your specific request, but I thought I would send a
greeting from Halifax. Do you know about the PEI Crafts Council?

Do you know about the Atlantic Craft Trade Show? This is a wholesale
show for people who sell to retailers. You say you are "just beginning"
but you might want to take a look at it some time. It's very relaxed and also
professional.

Welcome to the Maritimes. Drop into the NS Centre for Craft and Design in
Halifax, next time you're here. There's usually a decent exhibition in the
Mary E Black Gallery.
