Brian, John and all others looking for PURPLE

Purple Raku (Have one small piece I'm firing tomorrow, will post results.)

Percent Amounts

Spodumene 35
Gerstley borate 60
Ball clay 5

Add: Manganese carbonate 3
Tin oxide 5

That's all I know about this one until tomorrow.

^10 reduction suggestion: Vivian's Red/Purple/Green listed on GlazeBase as a
^6 oxidation green, ^6 reduction blood red and reduction ^10 BEAUTIFUL
PURPLE.
My experience for a "nice"(somewhat pale) purple is to apply thick.

Share results if you try these. Would love to experiment with something
along the lines of VIOLET if anyone has any suggestions.

Neither plum nor purple :o(
My results are very limited (only one small piece so far). . .
It was a pale mauve (nice but not what I was looking for)
"I won't give up!"
