raku clay 4 bread tiles?

Has anyone used raku clay for making bread tiles? We've been watching the
chatter on pizza stones, and figure that with good thermal shock
resistance, raku clay would be a good candidate IF it could take (hundreds
of) repeated heatings and still be tough enough to take the "hard knocks"
of kitchen life.
