A local blacksmith has made several two pronged raku forks for me in
order to remove large bowls and platters from a raku kiln. They are
great tools that I could not live without. The prongs can be set any
distance apart. If anyone is interested in seeing a picture or

Seriously, I am in the market for raku tongs, having a new raku kiln just
getting installed and tweaked here. Any suggestions as to where to shop
for such a thing? Does Grainger's carry any tongs suitable?
Here in Phoenix, we hardly would have a decent fireplace store, although
people *do* have woodstoves for heat.
All suggestions welcomed and I'd love to see pictures Steve, if you could
finish that sentence *grin*

Please complete the message---I would really like to have a drawing or
something that gives the dimensions, etc. to give to a blacksmith here. Or
perhaps, you could arrange to have your blacksmith make the tools for
others and ship them out....Not everybody has a local blacksmith, or
maybe they do....

Steven,
I am interested in a picture or drawing of the RAKU tool you mention.
Thanks in advance,

Whats the address for Grainger's? It sounds like a good resource to
have.
